What’s your success rate?

We’re proud to say that our success rate is over 99%! This comes from years of compliance experience and processing applications on a daily basis. It’s what we do and we do it well!

Why would my application be denied?

Perhaps the only reason why we can’t claim a 100% success rate is because we don’t have control over the information we receive from our clients. In fact, the most common reason for an application’s denial is what’s called a material misstatement. While we encourage all of our applicants to answer each question on their particular application honestly, in some cases, this doesn’t happen and results in their application being denied.

How do I get started?

Here are the steps to get started:

  1. Complete our easy online application for your license type.  Don’t see your license type?  Apply at and we’ll develop a customized proposal for you!
  2. Choose the service or services you’d like us to complete.
  3. We’ll forward the invoice to you which can be paid online (please note we do not accept payments over the phone in an effort to minimize instances of credit card fraud).
  4. We get started on your selected services immediately!

What do you do?

The License Company provides licensing services to individuals and businesses seeking a professional license. We also provide services such as business formation/incorporation, DBA registrations, conversions, and much more. You’ll find a more detailed description below.

License Application Processing Services – This service is typically used by a person or business who knows they need to be licensed but wants to give themselves the best chance at getting licensed.  Additionally, most of our clients who purchase this service recognize that the licensing process can take much longer if they go it alone.  They value the speed at which they can get licensed by using a professional licensing service like The License Company.  This service is our most popular and provides support throughout the licensing application process.  We complete the application for you, gather the required information like credit reports and insurance requirements, and provide a complete license application package for your review.  Once approved by you, we submit the application to the state on your behalf, monitor the application status, and update you along the way.  Additionally, we work with you to provide answers to any additional questions which may result from the information listed on your license application.

Business Formation, Foreign Registration, and DBA Filings – We offer these services on a stand alone basis or in conjunction with our License Application Processing Services mentioned above. We prepare, complete, and file your particular business filing with the entity you request.


How long does it take?

We’re asked this question all of the time and our answer is always the same.  We can process your application as fast as we receive the information needed to complete it.  However, we cannot control the time it takes for the state, county, or other licensing authority to review it.  In some cases, the licensing authority will consider your application immediately.  In others, it may take 2-4 weeks depending on the licensing authority’s workload.  We can however offer our commitment to do our best to limit any additional follow up questions and get the application submitted correctly the first time.

License Research projects can be completed much faster and some are available in minutes after payment is received.  More detailed requests may require more time depending on the volume or nature of the request.

Is payment required prior to processing my license application, research, and additional services?

Yes.  We make our services affordable and transparent.  The only way we can do so is to collect a nominal fee for each service requested prior to commencement of any work on your behalf.  Much like you can’t take groceries home from the store before paying for them we cannot offer our work product prior to payment of your invoice.

How can I pay for my requested services?

We accept all major debit and credit cards but we don’t accept checks, money orders, or other forms of payment. Payment can be made by applying online and using our online checkout. Alternatively, we can email invoices to you directly and payment can be made with the click of a button!

Can I ask questions and will you update me on my application status or research status?

Absolutely!  You can ask questions anytime you’d like.  All you need to do is email your licensing associate or set up a time to discuss any questions you may have.  Keep in mind that we’ll keep you updated on the status of your application or research request throughout the process.  We systematically follow up with each licensing authority and update the progress of your license application or research.

What is your refund policy?

Our fees are non-refundable and all sales are final.  Our services and products are the result of extensive research, time, and effort.  Additionally, all fees for related services to your application or research are non-refundable.  In some cases, we use third party services including but not limited to insurance agencies, surety bond agencies, credit reporting companies, fingerprinting companies, etc. to process and provide the required information for your application.  Their fees are generally non-refundable once requested, bound, etc.  However, when state application fees and other third party fees are refundable, we agree to return the refunded amount received by us to you when received from the licensing authority or other third party.

What if I need to pause my application(s)?

It’s ok!  We understand that, in some cases, you may want to pause your application(s) or state filings.  Our license processing and other associated processing fees are good for up to 180 days after your initial payment is received.  However, please note that 3rd party vendor fees, state fees, and others are generally not refundable once payment has been made on your behalf.  Please refer to our refund policy above for additional details.
